We know how important it is to ensure our advice is accessible to anyone who needs it. It’s estimated that 1 in 6 adults in the UK is affected by some form of hearing loss - that’s why we take every step we can to tailor our advice to the needs of our deaf and hard of hearing clients.

Text-based advice

We know some people prefer written information, so our advisers can provide advice in the format that works best for you. You can also use our webchat service to communicate entirely by text.

Sign language appointments

We can arrange for a BSL interpreter to attend advice appointments. This service is provided by Bolton Deaf Services and must be booked in advance.

To request a BSL appointment, please complete the online booking form ↗.. You can also make a request through our drop-in service.

For video appointments, both you and the interpreter will receive a link to join the video platform by text or email.

BT Relay

We offer BT Relay support for all our phone services. Clients can contact us through the Relay UK app and speak to us using a real-time BSL interpreter—no appointment needed.

Everything is done remotely, so no one needs to be in the same place. Clients can use the service by visiting the BT Relay web page ↗or downloading the app ↗
